About the Journal

The International Journal of Religious and Interdisciplinary Studies (IJoRIS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to the study of religion in relation to texts, lived practices, institutions, and social transformation. The journal publishes original research that advances critical debates in religious studies through theoretically informed and methodologically rigorous scholarship.

IJoRIS particularly welcomes submissions that examine the interaction between religious thought, scriptural interpretation, social life, cultural practice, and public issues in Muslim societies, comparative religious settings, and the Global South. The journal seeks to contribute to international scholarship by publishing work that is analytically strong, conceptually relevant, and engaged with current academic conversations.

The journal prioritizes articles that make a clear scholarly contribution to the field of religious studies and related disciplines, especially in the areas of:

• religion and society,
• text and interpretation,
• lived religion,
• religion and public life,
• religion and social change,
• comparative and cross-regional perspectives.

IJoRIS does not function as a general journal for all interdisciplinary topics related to religion. Submissions must demonstrate a direct and substantial contribution to the journal’s core research mission.

IJoRIS is published twice a year and operates a double-anonymous peer review process. All submissions are evaluated based on originality, analytical depth, methodological clarity, relevance to the journal’s scope, and contribution to international scholarship.

IJoRIS is published by RaSAIL Media Group, and this journal is an important reference for academics, researchers, graduate students, and practitioners interested in religious and interdisciplinary studies. Starting August 2, 2025, this journal has become a CrossRef member and is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for each published article, ensuring greater visibility, credibility, and permanent accessibility of scholarly content.
